11 Unmissable Moments At London Fashion Week

As fashion week kicks off in Milan, we look back at the stand-out moments from the London shows. Versace's little sister label Versus held their catwalk show in the British capital on Saturday night, bringing Italian glamour to the week. British headliners Burberry are shaking up the tradition of showing the collection six months in advance by making everything they sent down the runway on Monday night available to buy straightaway. Here's how it went down for the boys and girls of Elite Model Look.

Marketa Salounova walks at London Fashion Week for the first time

Marketa said: "I am so happy to be walking in the Burberry show, it feels amazing. When I did the casting, I was wondering every day if they wanted me, but I was happy just to have met them. But when my agent told me, I was so surprised but very happy." Marketa participated in Elite Model Look in the Czech Republic in 2014. "The Elite Model Look changed my life - I met so many nice people. Bara [Podzimkova, winner of Elite Model Look World Final 2014] is still a very good friend of mine."

Arriving straight from New York on Saturday morning, they walked the J.W. Anderson and Versus shows and flew out to Milan first thing on Sunday.

Greta also walked for Topshop Unique, Burberry, Christopher Kane, Mulberry and Simone Rocha.

4. Mayowa Nicholas for Paul Smith

Winner of Elite Model Look in Nigeria 2014, Mayowa also walked for Topshop Unique, Roksanda, Burberry and J.W. Anderson.

5. Alexandra Micu is a street style star

Romanian Alexandra was a favourite of the sidewalk photographers - Jonathan Daniel Pryce shot her after the Christopher Kane show in this leather outfit.

7. Ysaunny Brito closed Gareth Pugh

Dominican model Ysaunny closed Pugh's theatrical show, inspired by his work making costumes for the opera Eliogabalo in Paris.

Greta, Italian winner from 2014, spotted herself on a billboard in London for the McQ campaign.

10. India Ruiterman walked for Julien MacDonald

Later in the week, India was transformed into an Indian goddess in the Ashish show, inspired by Bollywood and all things colour. 

11. Alistair Waterfield and Simon Jørgensen for Burberry

Following on from their runway debuts with the same brand in January, the two finalists from Elite Model Look 2015 (from the UK and Denmark) were spotted on the runway again.
