Arya Bendkhale: My Model Life

When Arya Bendkhale took part in Elite Model Look in 2017, she flew to Milan to represent India in the glittering World Final event. Now a model with Elite in Milan, she has travelled the globe and seen her model dreams realised. She has walked the runway for brands like Armani, Burberry and Kenzo and appeared on the pages of magazines like Grazia. We caught up with Arya to talk about what life has been like since Elite Model Look. 

You applied to EML online after you saw it on Facebook. What was it like to get accepted?

I was so happy and surprised at the same time, I went to my mom and told her! 

What is your favourite memory from taking part in EML?

I would say everything, starting from the casting to winning the national competition and then the EML World Final, everything was so, so special. 

When you get tired, how do you stay motivated?

I always call my mom; she is the one who always motivates me to give my best shot in everything  

Where is your favourite place you have travelled to since becoming a model?

I would still say its Milan, it's very special city to me and there are so many memories of the EML World Final, so definitely it is close to my heart  

What do you enjoy most about being a model now?

I really enjoy working in the fashion industry meeting so many people, making friends from all over the world, traveling, getting to experience this in life. I’m really grateful  

What are you interests outside modelling?

I love playing tennis, spending time with my family and friends, and being in nature  

What is your advice to anyone entering Elite Model Look 2022?

I would say just enjoy the process, don’t overthink what's gonna happen, go with the flow. EML is going to be the best experience of your life, ENJOY!
