Epilation takes time. In order to get the best results, settle down with a movie or your favourite music in the background and light a scented candle to put yourself in a relaxed frame of mind.

Scrub away

Always exfoliate before you start. The skin naturally sheds cells, creating a dry layer which gets in the way of hair removal and causes ingrown hairs. Use a scrub, a body brush or exfoliating mitt in the shower or bath, and always work in circular motions for best results.

Preparation makes perfect

Everyone is different, but experts suggest setting a large clean towel down on your bed to epilate for a dry epilation. Need for speed

Always epilate in the opposite direction that the hair grows. For legs, work in an upward motion, and for underarms, go down. If not, the hair will be cut off at skin level instead of being removed from the root.
