Jana Tvrdíková Walks For Valentino And Chanel At Her First Fashion Week

This season, Jana Tvrdíková walked in Paris Fashion Week for the very first time. The Overall Winner at the Elite Model Look World Final in 2016, Jana represented the Czech Republic in Lisbon. We caught up with her to learn what it was like.

What was it like to be at Paris fashion week?

It was my first fashion week ever. For a first time, I tried real model life. I was running for the castings back and forth. Sometimes it’s hard, because you never know what can happen in next 5 minutes.

How did it feel to walk for Valentino - your first show?

We did everything to get prepared for the show. We were like bees in a hive. Everyone was working fast. But that emotion when you get out of the backstage on to the runway is unforgettable. You just throw away your worries and go. I am thankful to Valentino for having me and for giving me the chance to be part of this flawless show.

Did you see anyone you knew backstage at Valentino? Did you like your outfit?

Yes, I met few girls which I met at castings, but for first time I saw some stars who I knew only from Instagram. My dress was beautiful. I had long sleeved pink dress with lot of flowers of different colours. Than I had pink open shoes with small crystals on them.

Was it harder than you expected to do the castings and fittings for fashion week?

Castings for the fashion week was bit different than the ones I did before, because all those brands are famous worldwide. I was bit nervous not to mess something up. I was trying do my very best.

How did it feel to walk at Chanel?

It was an amazing experience to be part of Chanel show. I didn’t expect to walk in a Chanel show during my first fashion week. I wouldn’t even dream about it.

What’s the best advice anyone ever gave you about modelling?

The best advice I ever got was: always be yourself!

What are you looking forward to in 2018?

I want to work more and work harder. I hope to get some new and interesting jobs!
