Abbie Fawcett
Last year's EML finalist Abbie Fawcett is predicted to be yet another addition to the list of successful Elite Model Look superstars.
Elite: How did you find out about the Elite Model Look?
Abbie: I got scouted at a London festival ‘Hard Rock Calling’ – it’s not really my thing but my mum goes there every year and she invited me to come along after her friend dropped out. After getting scouted I was then called in to the Elite London office where I was told everything about the competition and that was the start of it. And I got as far as the finals and met some really lovely girls who I got to share this amazing experience with.
E: Have you ever considered trying out modelling even before you got scouted?
Abbie: I have been told by friends and family before that I should really look into it, but I just thought they were just saying that. I never thought I could really do it until Elite approached me and I suppose that gave me some confidence and from then I decided to give it a go. The more I thought about it, the more it appealed to me!
E: What aspects of being a model appealed to you in particular - did you know much about the modelling industry at the time?
Abbie: I did, yes. I knew that models travel a lot and work really hard. I always wanted to have the opportunity to travel, which was a deciding factor for me in taking part in the EML.
E: What did your friends and family say about coming this far in the competition?
Abbie: My mum was so pleased when she found out that I was in the finals – she gave me a lot of support which I am extremely grateful for. And my friends’ reaction was really positive too and they were all very happy for me.
E: Are you at school at the moment?
Abbie: Yeah I am still at school – I have one month left! Ideally I’d like to go to college and do modelling at the same time so I can still keep my options open.
E: Before the EML, did you know what you wanted to do in the future?
Abbie: I never really knew what I wanted to do after school. People would ask me about what my ‘dream job’ is and all I know is that I would like to travel the world someday!
E: What has it been like since the EML?
Abbie: I haven’t really done any modelling work since – I’m sixteen in one month’s time therefore still not old enough to work yet. It just seems like my 16th birthday can’t come quickly enough!
Elite London are extremely pleased to present the ever so stunning Abbie Fawcett who is moments away from her long-awaited 16th birthday and therefore will go on to gracing the fashion industry with her presence! Words cannot describe the excitement we feel for this precious beauty as we wait in anticipation to see what 2012 will have in store for her!
