I think I'm a modest person, but also that I am confident in my own ability and always try my best.

What is your passion?

I’ve been into BMX and snowboarding for about 10 years, I really like the feeling when I'm doing either, as it feels like nothing else matters. I love the feeling of the transitions or being on my snowboard, plowing down a mountain!

Do you have a favourite inspirational quote that inspires you to succeed?

"Be humble and be you. You can be whatever you want to be, as long as you believe in it!"

What is the best advice you ever got?

Always think twice and just be happy with what you have!

If you could give $1m to any cause, what would it be and why?

I think I would give $500K to a charity which gives to people without food around the world. I would use the other 500k to support the fight against global warming and pollution, to clear the sea and streets from trash.

What is the best holiday you have ever been on?

Thailand and Laos, I went almost everywhere, they’re both really beautiful countries and nature there is just amazing, I would really like to go back! Some of my favourite places I went to on that visit were: Chiang Kong, Chiang Mai, Luang Prabang, Bangkok, Kho Samui and other islands, a big part of the Mekong river.

What is your favourite...

Film: Avatar (2009), I just think that the film is beautiful with amazing graphics and a really good story.

Model: Antonio Freitas, the Winner of Elite Model Look Brazil who won the World Final last year. I think he has a really good face and I just think he's cool. It's the best feeling I've literally ever had. It’s such an honour to be able to represent your country and I would love to follow in the footsteps of the previous Belgian winner.

What’s the best thing you ever achieved as a team or in a group?

I think that my friends are always there for each other. We are all very supportive of each other as a group.

If you could go anywhere in the world – where you haven’t already been – where would you go?

The United States, I just want to experience the country that has made such an impact on our lives, for example in the music, film and fashion industries.

How does it feel to represent Belgium at the 35th Elite Model Look World Final?

It feels unreal, I never imagined winning! It's just such a great feeling! I heard about the competition from my girlfriend who also competed and so far everyone has been really supportive and helpful. Eleonore Vanden Eynden and Julien Thonar specifically have really been there for me and guided me through the application process. I'm very excited to be able to take part in such a great competition. I'm also very curious but mostly excited to see how far I can reach! So far at Elite Model Look, I’ve learnt that there really is a lot of fun to be had with modelling, all the people I’ve worked with so far have been really nice and friendly, its opened up a whole world of opportunities that I can’t wait to explore.

Tell us about Belgium!

Belgium is a little country with mostly kind people. Belgians are very proud of their achievements and they will probably show it in a good and funny way. Belgium is famous for their chocolate and beer, also for Brussels and it's monuments. Famous people from Belgium include Jean-Claude Van Damme, Audrey Hepburn, Kim Clijsters, Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne, Matthias Schoenaerts. I'm really proud of the Belgian football team and their supporters, you can see when they play how the Belgian people are acting as one. Everyone is just in a good mood and they cheer all for the same thing.
