At Elite Model Look we say: “your differences make our world”. What makes you different?

I guess my hair colour makes me quite different, I have red hair and freckles which is quite unusual.

 What is your passion? 

I have a few things that I am passionate about. I love making pastries and cooking in general, it helps me to be artistic and I like making people happy through food. My other passion is Rugby, I’ve been playing for almost 10 years, I love playing as part of a team and the team spirit involved, I also like basketball, as I like to meet new people. 

What is the best advice you ever got?

The most important advice I've ever been given is to accept differences you may have as they are a source of strength. 

Do you have a favourite inspirational quote that inspires you to succeed?

"Just yesterday, I was twenty years old, I was wasting time thinking I was going to stop him, and to keep him even ahead of me, I just ran and ran out of breath"- Charles Aznavour. For me, this means that you shouldn’t worry about outdoing others or competing with others too much as I will reflect badly on your outcome, you should worry about yourself and that's it.

If you could give $1m to any cause, what would it be and why? 

I would probably give the money to an association that cares for underprivileged children who cannot go to school. Investing in the younger generation is so important and I would like to support a charity that builds schools and the possibility of a better life and more positive future, nothing is more beautiful than a happy kid. 

What is the best holiday you have ever been on?

The best holiday that I’ve been on was my first trip to the USA. I went to Florida with my family and family friends. It was fun to discover to a new country and culture and it was special to experience this with people that I love.

 What is your favourite film?

My favourite film is "Un homme idéal" with Pierre Niney, I love this movie because I find it really emotive, I think the script is well-written and it struck a cord with me.

What’s the best thing you ever achieved as a team or in a group?

I have two examples of this. One is a rugby game I played where I think we’d played the best we had ever played, it was 80 minutes of a really intense game but we were all so relieved and overjoyed at the end when we had won. The other is the Elite Model Look France Bootcamp when we went to the studio. We were all supporting each other and all trying to do our best, at the end we all congratulated each other, it was a nice feeling and I felt that we had all contributed to each others’ accomplishments.

 If you could go anywhere in the world – where you haven’t already been – where would you go?

I would like to go to Japan or Los Angeles. I would like to go to Japan to discover more about the Asian culture and see the beautiful landscapes there, and I would like to go to Los Angeles, as I think it is a city that allows people to dream and I would like to experience it for myself. 

How does it feel to represent France at the 35th Elite Model Look World Final?

At the time it didn’t really sink in but the more time that has gone on I am so happy and grateful to have had this opportunity. I can’t believe that I won, I’m looking forward to the World Final and to meet the other contestants from all over the world. The French bootcamp was such a fantastic atmosphere, I’m hoping that the World Final will be even better. Everyone became like a little family and supported each other and it's something I can to make the most of during the World Final. I had first heard about Elite Model Look from my cousin who competed in 2015 my brother helped me to apply for the contest online. I have learnt so much from Elite Model Look already. For example, that it is important not to take this experience for granted and to try and enjoy every minute of the competition. I’m very proud to join the list of French winners, Paul Manniez from Elite Model Look France 2016 has been so successful so far, and I would love to have a career like him!

Tell us about France! 

I think that France is famous for being a powerful country and also for its rich culture with its language and love of food. Some historical French characters who helped create a turning point in French history are people like Moliere and Napoleon, they helped France become the modern nation it is today. I am proud of France for our culture, our sports teams, our lifestyle and our beautiful language.
