My First Fashion Week: Davidson Obennebo At Versace Fw2017

Davidson made headlines when he became Africa’s very first Overall Winner of Elite Model Look just two months ago. Milan Fashion Week marked an amazing start for his career - he opened and closed the Versace show! We talked to him straight after to catch up on what it was like.

You opened and closed the Versace show – can you tell us about it?

Walking for Versace was an amazing experience, I couldn't have asked for a better way to make my debut in my modelling career! Donatella Versace was amazing and she put so much belief in me so I had to give it all my best. The team were super amazing, I can't thank them enough for the great opportunity to work with them.

Did you expect to have such a good first show? How did you feel when you found out?

I wasn't expecting much but it was an amazing experience and also a great feeling to be part of the show, so I'm happy!

What was your favourite thing about doing the Versace show?

My favourite part was walking down the catwalk in the show, and I also loved working with the whole team backstage - the stylists, makeup artists, everyone - they are all beautiful people and fun to work with them!

What have you done since you won Elite Model Look in November?

I have been doing lots of interviews and trying to get my visas processed, so that I'll be able to make it for the fashion weeks that are happening now!

Are you looking forward to Paris?

Yeah definitely, I would really love to work for top designers like Givenchy as well, so I'm hoping I have a good one like I did in Milan!
