2012 - Elite Model Look

Founded in 1983, Elite Model Look is the world's most prestigious international modelling contest. It is credited with discovering Super Models including Cindy Crawford, Gisele Bundchen, Lara Stone and Alessandra Ambrosio.

Each year, thousands of candidates across 30 countries participate in this extraordinary modelling competition that is a launching pad, not just for a modelling career, but for the world stage.

The search goes on.

Held at Shanghai’s art centre, the 2012 Elite Model Look World Final was televised and watched by over 200 million people worldwide who saw 60 girls compete for the top prize in a glittering, star-studded performance.

Mixing fashion with music, the show featured guest appearances from Chinese artists Terry Zhou and AOA alongside international pop star Jessie J and DJ Bob Sinclar.

The finalists took to the catwalk in looks by Courrèges, Shiatzy Chen and Ralph Rucci alongside Elite top talent Ming Xi, Michaela Kocianova and Noemie Lenoir. Marilhéa from France was chosen as the overall winner.
